F.B. – Feverishly Beautiful – Fruits Basket Mania

A Brief Start…

It all began from the pages of Hana to Yume Magazine, the shoujo manga anthology from Japanese publisher Hakusensha, also home of Kare Kano and Angel Sanctuary.

Before the Fruits Basket fever even started, Takaya-sensei already had big pre-fruits series namely: Geneimusou and Tsubasa O Motsu Mono (Those With Wings). Later on, Hakusensha and TV Tokyo teamed up to turn Fruits Basket into a 26-episode anime series.

In Depths…

I never thought that I would love Fruits Basket this much and I never expected that it would totally bring out the strike in me. Though the manga did not end up with my favorite pair, Yuki et Tohru *sorry to all Kyo et Tohru fans but I like them more*, the Sohma curse was finally broken, Akito was no longer in vain and she has moved on. In fact, I was stunned when I found out that Akito is a girl! I mean, she sounded like a guy in the anime and it that episode where she visited Yuki in school or perhaps to give warning to Tohru, he was a man! Moving on, the series was having that dark atmosphere at first but as it progresses, it was fun and crazy-to-be addicted with.

I have here some fun pictures in collected from the series. As I am still working and learning how to put links for playlists, affiliates and download links, enjoy these stuff while it lasts! Cheerio!

In the Solemn Side…

Are you watching anime? Are you the typical kind of person who gets attracted to it? Perhaps, we have a seen a lot of people putting commentaries about it and we wonder, “What is ANIME?”

Anime is not your ordinary cartoon show. The anime is adapted from the manga or Japanese comics, drawn, made and published. It can come in various genres and timelines. Timelines may vary depending on the story like: Ruruoni Kenshin, which gives a picture of the Feudal Era of Japan unlike Chobits, which shows modern Japan.

Ok, that was a short introduction but what does it really tell us?

In my opinion, I would say anime depicts a lot of faces of today’s generation. It mostly focuses on what this generation is all about including its lifestyle and way of living. What more can I say, pictures say a thousand words; the more animations say it all.

Catching the Glimpse…

Anime is sure sizzling hot! It’s so cool! I admit that I am a certified anime fan. I got myself hooked to it last December 19, 2005 *funny, I still remember that date*, when I first watched Fruits Basket, which turned out to be my no. 1 anime. My best friend recommended Fruits Basket that time and since I had nothing to do since it’s Christmas break, I gave in and never thought that it would be the start of being an anime fan. It was a one-week continuous airing in the network so in a flash, it’s done but I never stopped. I watched more anime from other networks and my being a fan continues to grow with such admiration. I would search every anime I watch including its stuffs like: music and pictures. I was never tired of it in fact, I find it interesting because for this almost 3 years of being an anime fan, I could never count the sites I went to just to search for the particular information and if I can’t find, I would find myself puzzling those questions.

I’m sure you have concluded that I am an anime addict and anime obsessed *you know, crazy with all the anime stuff*. Anyways, what you think of me is fine because I think I couldn’t agree more with you *laughs*… but instead of having those remarks of being called such, it’s much better to hear: certified anime fan, don’t you think? *winks*
